Enviro Day

ENVIRO DAY

A few weeks ago we had Enviro Day. We had a lot of work cut out for us. First we got straight into the bird competition, four kids from are class and one creative parent (Thank you Mr Morritt) got selected to enter the competition from are class. First we made the body for it, with three buckets.  Then we created feathers, legs, beak, and extra details for our Tui. When we were finishing it, another group was picked to make kiwifruit and banana sorbet (it was meant to be ice-cream…)(Mrs Reay, Thank you for helping). The rest of the class was split into two groups. One group, headed into the garden doing weeding and de-heading, while the other group went to pick up rubbish. After that we did an activity which we did using recycled provided materials, after watching a video about wind turbines.
Then when the bird sculpture had been finished, we all went to see what it looked like. In the afternoon we played a range of exciting enviro games. At the end of the day we were tired out, but had lots of fun!!!!!!

MOTHERS DAY CARDS

A couple of weeks ago Room O decided to make some mothers day cards. We used coloured paper, pens, printed pictures off goggle images and, well, our own hands!!, Mr Ward took a picture of all our Mothers day cards. It may of took a really long time but at the end of the day we gave them to our mums and they absolutely loved them!!

Bird Artwork

A few weeks ago a lovely lady came to teach the senior team how to draw a shag.
We followed a process. First we drew the out line of the shag, then we added the wings. Next we added more detail to the shag, then colour, then the background to our excellent shags. We had a fantastic time.
